The UF-3 is an embedded accessory that provides two independent channels of filtering. Each channel offers high- and low-pass filters that are separately configured or bypassed; the high-pass section also features selectable 6 dB/octave high-frequency boost for constantdirectivity horns or to compensate for screen loss in cinema sound systems. This versatile arrangement allows you to create a variety of filter setups: bandpass, high-pass, low-pass, CD horn high-frequency boost, or flat, or virtually any combination of them. The filters use a fourth-order Linkwitz-Riley alignment that rolls off at 24 dB/octave. Frequencies are programmed by installing selected 8-pin SIP resistor networks (included) into sockets on the processor card.
